The Stress & Anxiety Companion is an iOS app for mental resilience based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

We all experience anxiety and stress at some point in our lives and for many it can have a real impact on their happiness and productivity. It is estimated that 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem in any given year.

Prosper has worked with Companion Apps to create a brand, thinking approach and mobile app through which users can manage their wellbeing whilst on the move.

Relaxation tools

The app includes a number of relaxation tools including Rebreathing exercises, Mindfulness and Progressive Muscle Relaxation recordings to help users manage the physical symptoms of stress and anxiety.

Thought diary

A key element of CBT is how to reframe negative thinking. The Stress & Anxiety Companion utilises a simplified version of the cognitive loop, allowing users to reframe and save their thoughts in a simple to use thought diary.


A detailed Learn section covering all aspects of Anxiety helps give users context and information around the condition.

Really good - gives you the basic effective principles of CBT without all the waffle! Also approaches it in a fun way. I found it more useful than the CBT therapist I saw on the NHS!
